    28 April 2011 Over 50 guests joined Ambassador Kennard to participate to a spirited dialogue with UCLA Professor Peter Baldwin, author of the "Narcissism of Minor Differences: How America and Europe are Alike". Offering a European perspective to the debate was Nicole Bacharan, French historian and political analyst specializing in Transatlantic relations.

    27 April 2011 Mr. Stern visited in Brussels for the 10th meeting of the Major Economies Forum. Afterwards he gave a press conference at the Press Club Brussels Europe to brief media on how the meetings aim to advance prospects for a successful outcome in Durban.

The Afghans journalists describes the growing quantity and quality of Afghan media outlets, despite challenges, and invites Western media to offer training to the new generation of Afghan journalists now numbering over 2000.
